What to Include in a Construction Company Profile in the UAE

Published October 9, 2026

A construction company profile in the UAE should include a company overview with legal and licence details, scope of services, organisation chart and key staff, completed and ongoing projects, plant and equipment, health, safety, environment and quality policies, certifications you actually hold, major clients and consultants, and full contact details, presented in that order.

The rest of this guide explains what goes into each section, how to present your projects, and how to keep one document working for tenders, introductions and prequalification.

One rule comes first. Where a client or consultant supplies their own prequalification format, follow it exactly. Your profile supports that submission. It does not replace it.

Who reads a construction company profile

A contractor’s profile is read by people who assess risk for a living. They are checking facts, and they are short of time.

  • Consultants look for similar projects, technical staff and quality systems.
  • Developers want to see scale, delivery record and who you have built for.
  • Main contractors assessing subcontractors check trade scope, manpower, equipment and safety record.
  • Procurement teams compare your details against their vendor registration forms.
  • Banks may read it alongside other documents when you apply for facilities.

All of them want evidence they can verify, laid out so they can find it quickly.

What to include, section by section

This order suits general contractors and works equally well for an MEP and fit-out company profile.

01Company overview and legal details

State who you are, when you were established, your legal form and ownership. Give your trade licence and classification details exactly as issued to your company. Copy them from the documents. Do not paraphrase or round up.

02Scope of services

List what you do with your own teams and what you subcontract. Group services by trade, such as civil, structural, MEP, fit-out or maintenance, so a reader can match you to a package.

03Organisation chart and key staff

Show a clear chart from management down to site level. Add short entries for key staff with role, qualifications and years of experience. Keep full CVs for an appendix or the prequalification pack.

04Completed and ongoing projects

This is the section readers spend most time on. For each project give the name, client, consultant, scope, year and photos. Include the contract value only if the client allows it. Separate completed work from ongoing work.

05Plant and equipment list

Use a simple table with type, capacity and quantity, and say whether each item is owned or hired. List only what you can produce on site if asked.

06Health, safety, environment and quality policies

Include your signed policy statements and a short description of how they are applied on site: inductions, inspections, reporting and who is responsible.

07Certifications

List only certifications your company actually holds and that are currently valid, with the scope and expiry date shown on the certificate. Never list one that is expired, pending or planned as if it were held.

08Major clients and consultants

Name the clients and consultants you have worked with, and use their logos only with permission. A short, accurate list is more convincing than a long page of logos.

09Financial standing summary

Include this only if it is appropriate for the reader. Keep it brief, take the figures from your audited accounts, and ask your accountant or adviser what is suitable to share.

10Contact details and locations

Give office, yard and workshop addresses, a named contact for tenders, phone, email and website. Make sure they match your licence and letterhead.

How to present project sheets consistently

Use one template for every project. The same fields in the same position on each page let a consultant compare ten projects in a minute.

  • Fixed fields: project name, location, client, consultant, scope, year, status.
  • One main photo and two or three supporting images, all at the same size.
  • A scope description of two or three lines, written in the same style each time.
  • Recent and most relevant projects first, then older work in a summary table.

If writing these descriptions is the slow part, a company profile writing service can turn your project records into consistent text.

Photography tips for construction sites

Photos are your proof. Plan them during the project, not after handover.

  • Take progress photos at key stages and completed photos before the client occupies the building.
  • Make sure safety gear is visible and worn correctly on everyone in the frame. One photo without it can undo your safety section.
  • Get written permission before photographing or publishing client sites.
  • Shoot in good daylight, keep the horizon level, and clear rubbish and loose materials from view.
  • Keep the original files. Images forwarded through messaging apps are compressed and print poorly.

One construction company profile, several versions

You do not need separate documents written from scratch. Build one master file and cut versions from it.

  • Full prequalification version: every section, full project list and supporting documents as appendices.
  • Short introduction version: a few pages with overview, services, selected projects and contacts, for first emails and meetings.
  • Sector-specific versions: the same structure with projects filtered for villas, towers, industrial, hospitality or fit-out work.

Good contracting company profile design sets up the master file so these versions can be produced quickly.

Most profiles are now sent as PDFs and printed only for meetings and hard-copy tender submissions. Prepare both.

For email and tender portals, export a compressed PDF with images at screen resolution. Upload limits vary, so check each portal’s limit before submitting. Keep a separate high-resolution file for print and confirm paper, binding and bleed with your printer.

Add bookmarks and a clickable contents page so readers can jump straight to projects or certifications.

Keeping it updated after each completed project

Update the profile each time a project is handed over. Add the project sheet, move it from ongoing to completed, and check staff, equipment and certificate dates at the same time.

Put the revision month on the back page and give one person responsibility for the master file. An editable layout from a company profile design in Dubai specialist makes these updates a short task.

Common mistakes to avoid

  • Outdated projects. A profile that stops several years ago suggests the company has too.
  • Low-quality phone photos. Dark, tilted or pixelated images make good work look poor.
  • Inconsistent figures. Staff numbers, values and dates must match what you enter in prequalification forms. Reviewers do compare them.
  • Long generic text. Paragraphs about commitment and excellence are skipped. Replace them with facts.

Frequently asked questions

How long should a company profile for a construction company in Dubai be?

There is no fixed length. A short introduction version can be a few pages, while a full version grows with your project list. Include what the reader needs to assess you and cut the rest.

Is a company profile the same as a prequalification document?

No. A prequalification document answers a specific client’s or consultant’s questions in their format. Your profile is your own presentation and often goes in as a supporting attachment. Where a format is supplied, follow it.

Should we show project values?

Only when the client allows it. If you are unsure, ask, or describe the scale in another way, such as built-up area or number of floors.

Can you design a profile from our existing documents?

Yes. Our team has worked on company profiles since 2012 and can build one from your licence, project records and photos, with a first draft within 48 hours. See our profile design services for details.
